Vendors Processed ₦1.4 Billion on Chowdeck During The Big Black Friday Weekend

What happens when you combine unbeatable deals, live transparency and thousands of customers across Nigeria and Ghana? We found out and the results exceeded every expectation.
The Challenge: 50,000 Orders in One Day
We set an ambitious goal: process 50,000 orders on launch day.
This was double what we achieved last year. It was bold and we wanted everyone to watch it happen.
What we did
For the first time, we built a BFCM live tracker where anyone could watch Chowdeck orders happen across our cities in real time. The dashboard showed app visits, orders rolling in, total value processed, kilometres covered by riders, fastest delivery time — and even included a small puzzle for visitors to solve.
The puzzle added an unexpected layer of interaction that turned spectators into participants, with customers racing to crack the puzzle and someone doing it in just under six seconds. Leading to approximately 2.5 million app visits.

Restaurant partners like Chicken Republic and hundreds of local vendors processed thousands of orders throughout the weekend, with many seeing their highest single-day volumes ever on the platform.

- 52K+ orders on Friday alone (record single-day volume)
- Peak : 115 orders per minute
- 5K+ orders per hour sustained for 5 straight hours
